Wanchun Li Presents Ausdroid Research at CHI 2025

Yokohama, Japan Publication

First author Wanchun Li presented an Ausdroid research project at CHI 2025 in Yokohama, Japan, alongside supervisor Yangmengfei (Murphy) Xu. Their Late-Breaking Work paper, “Modeling Higher-order Human Beliefs Using the Justified Perspective Model”, explores how to represent what people believe about other people’s beliefs. The project draws on the Justified Perspective model from epistemic planning and uses an item-response-theory-inspired analysis to examine higher-order belief reasoning. A pilot study explores the feasibility of applying this model to human reasoning. Wanchun led the paper as first author, with supervision from Chenyuan Zhang, Guang Hu and Yangmengfei Xu. The poster session offered an opportunity to discuss the work with the international human–computer interaction community.
