Guang Hu Presents Ausdroid Research at ICAPS 2026

Dr Guang Hu presented “Proactive Assistance Agent with Online Goal Recognition” at the 36th International Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling (ICAPS 2026) in Dublin, Ireland, on 1 July 2026. The presentation was part of the Human-Aware Planning session. Co-authored with Qihao Shen and Chenyuan Zhang, the paper explores how an AI agent can infer another agent’s goal from ongoing observations and decide when and how to help, without knowing that goal in advance. The work combines online goal recognition and proactive assistance in a single model-based framework. In grid-based experiments, the authors found improved collaboration efficiency compared with existing algorithms and robustness across different configurations, contributing to research on human–AI collaboration.
